Orbit Sylva Phox

Sylva Phox: Every competitive player dreams of eventually going pro, and I still have a long way to go before reaching that level. But I believe that consistent improvement, a commitment to the process, and getting a little better every day can make anything possible. 

Sylva Phox:  My first Halo LAN event was LVT Titans of Orlando, where my very first match was played on the feature station in front of more than a thousand viewers watching the stream. We took a 2–0 lead in the best-of-five series, only to be reverse-swept in front of all those eyes.

Having one of my toughest losses happen right out of the gate definitely made me question whether this was something I wanted to pursue. That feeling only grew when I went my entire first year of competing without winning a LAN series.  Rather than letting those losses discourage me, I chose to see that first year as a challenge. 

I accepted that I simply wasn't good enough yet and committed myself to getting better. I put in the work, kept learning from every tournament, and continued pushing forward. Eventually, that commitment started to pay off as I began climbing the open bracket standings the following year. 

Sylva Phox: I’m fortunate to have an entire community at Halo Growth Guild that has witnessed my competitive journey and supported me every step of the way. As an older gamer, I also want to show that age is simply a number, and that hard work, perseverance, and pursuing what you truly want can matter more than anything.

For me, success goes beyond prizes and placements. I hope to carve a road less traveled — one that inspires others to chase what they’re passionate about, and to support others in pursuing what they want to achieve.
